Competition Rules

  1. The Contest will be limited to 100 contestants divided between the men’s category and the women’s category.
  2. Contestants are required to meet eligibility requirements and to fill out waivers indemnifying contest organizer, sponsors and obstacle course provider.
    • Contestants under the age of 18 at time of application must have a parent or legal guardian apply for entry on their behalf.
  3. All contestants must be United States citizens or resident aliens living in the United States or foreign citizens who can travel without restrictions to and from the United States.
  4. All contestants must be 14 years of age at the time of the competition.
  5. Contest rules may change at any time with no notification given to contestants.
  6. All contestants understand and acknowledge that participation in the Contest, including, may expose contestant and other participants to the risk of death, serious injury, illness or disease and/or property damage. Contestants must be willing and able to participate in the obstacle course, and must sign a release attesting to the fact that the contestant understands and knowingly and willingly agrees to assume such risks. Contestants understand that by submitting the Contestant Application contestants acknowledge that they accept and assume all risks known or unknown of any nature.
  7. Contestants release all media rights to the contest organizers, and agree to allow the use of all media, including but not limited to: photos, video, and audio recordings taken of them at the event, without any preapproval or review of said media.
  8. Contest judges have final say in determining all aspects of the contest.
  9. The contest winner will be the contestant that completes the course in the shortest amount of time.
  10. Contestant start time will begin when any part of the contestant’s body crosses the start line, including their apparel or costume.
  11. Contestant finish time will be recorded when both of the contestant’s knees rest on the top of the warped wall.
  12. If a contestant touches any part of their body, including apparel, to the restricted area of an obstacle, or in any way circumvents, bypasses, or completes an obstacle in an unauthorized manner, the contestant will be immediately disqualified, and they will not be allowed to complete the obstacle course. Judges will be assigned to watch each contestant and will sound an alarm horn upon contestant disqualification. Contestant must immediately vacate the course upon disqualification.
  13. Contestant will have a maximum of 3 minutes to complete the obstacle course, if course completion has not occurred at the end of 3 minutes, the contestant must vacate the course
  14. In either the men’s or the women’s category, if no contestant completes the course in 3 minutes, then no winner will be selected, and no prize will be given.
  15. Only one Contestant is allowed on the course at a time.
  16. Only Contestants are allowed on the course during the contest.
  17. Family members who wish to observer must remain in the designated area.
  18. This is a family event and contestants wearing attire that display offensive language or images including but not limited to displays containing: profanity, drug references, and sexually explicit or derogatory and racist displays, or attire or costume that reveals a contestant’s genitalia, buttock, or breast (female) will be disqualified and may be asked to leave the premises at the discretion of the contest organizers. The definition of offensive or reveal will be at the sole discretion of the contest organizers.
  19. Contestants must abide by the clothing rules of the course.
  20. No opened toed shoes will be allowed.
  21. A contestant may not be fitted with or carry on their person any tool or device that would aid in their ability to complete than obstacle. Tools or devices may include but are not limited to: adhesives, ropes, hooks, pegs, spikes, and abrasive coatings.
  22. A prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the winner in both the men’s and the women’s categories.
  23. Contestants understand and acknowledge that entry into the contest in no way guarantees a prize of any kind and the Contest organizers and sponsors make no warranty or grantee of any kind. Examples of things that are not guaranteed include, but are not limited to: time on course, media exposure, entry into any future events or competitions, and prizes.
  24. No refunds will be given for any reason.
